Auditing

Product Quality – To ensure you receive qualified products, it’s essential to have all the technical requirements in a detailed, signed contract with the module suppliers. The specifications clearly define all the standard requirements and Build of Materials (BOM) material parameters. BOM needs mentioning in the contract with only a selection of 1 or 2 items.  Ensuring that only the materials agreed to are to be used.  In addition, commercialized product quality needs to be verified, ensuring IQC, IPQC, FQC, and OQC qualifications.

BOM confirmation – The BOM materials need to be confirmed at various stages:

    1. Incoming material
    2. Storage
    3. Material preparation area
    4. Workshop and production lines
    5. The distribution of materials during production
    6. Tracking processes visually and via records
    7. Manufacturing execution system (MES) system
    8. Verify all the BOM materials based on the supplier’s documentation
    9. Material test certificates
    10. Certificate of origin

Production Verification – USD uses the 4M (Material, method, man, machine) system of successful manufacturing.

    1. Production is carried out as per the standard operating procedures (SOP) for tools to monitor equipment SOPs
    2. Ensure the equipment conditions
    3. Recommended parameters by the equipment supplier
    4. Equipment maintenance
    5. NC handling
    6. NC product isolation
    7. Manpower implementations and it’s corrections
    8. Training
    9. Training records
    10. Various process parameters,
    11. Climate parameters
    12. SOP and its implementations
    13. Record verification and many more
    14. The primary role of a flasher is essential, which includes the calibrations process,
    15. Primary module selection and preparation,
    16. Mater modules verification of operator, and tolerance limits etc.

Samples and reports – As per the project requirement inspection scope need to be finalized, and the quality assurance program QAP needs confirmation, including sampling plans,

    1. Check items and test items, lot sizing, etc.
    2. As per the agreed plan sample selection,
    3. Sample sizes need to be as per the acceptance quality level (AQL) for each inspection and test item,
    4. Acceptance limits to be defined clearly,
    5. The sample pick-up process needs to be defined.
