Update on “ITC”

My message just two weeks ago about the tax credit seems it will come to reality. Mainly because the world community is getting focused on climate change, and one solution is solar PV. If Democrats take over the White House, our tax credit will return to 30%. It is even possible for the federal government or States to add a FIT program based on the groundswell presently surrounding climate change.

Congressman Tonko went on to say at the Clean Energy week summit, “A comprehensive climate bill is not going to be possible this Congress, but we know there are meaningful policies that stand a chance of gaining bipartisan, bilateral support.

Tax policy was the first area the Congressman identified as being ripe for progress. Tonko, who serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee, noted that support for “critical clean energy tax credits” continues to gain momentum in the House of Representatives. The committees letter calls for extending tax credits to both solar and wind energy, as well as incentives for potentially new clean energy technologies, including energy storage, energy efficiency.
