Solar Energy

A look at 2022 says solar is strong and getting more momentum

My wife Karlita will have “brain surgery” on the 14th of November. She could use your thoughts and prayers for a safe and speedy recovery.

The global solar market is flourishing, and predicted that the world will have 1 trillion watts of installed solar PV capacity by 2023. There are enormous potential and massive opportunities for energy investors and renewable energy supporters striving to achieve energy goals—ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. What is happening in the solar industry by providing quality solar energy news regarding different aspects?

According to the latest global data, the world will likely have over one terawatt of solar capacity installed within the next five years. That’s a trillion watts. That’s enough to serve more than one-third of America’s electricity consumption.

When reviewing the last primary capacity projection, one year ago, was a forecast of 871 gigawatts by 2022. However, the latest projections show higher-than-expected growth for every year after 2018. For example, the projections for 2020 are 26 gigawatts higher than last year’s forecast.

Asia and everyone else. China, Japan, and India will make up 20 percent of the global installed market through 2023. Over the next two years, China and Japan will make up half of the annual installations, even with both markets in decline this year. The additional markets are fundamental. North America and Europe will account for 28 percent of the market by 2023; the Middle East will jump from 3 percent of capacity today to 9 percent, and Latin America will make up 7 percent of global installations. The global market is increasingly diverse.

The reason for the upward adjustment in capacity is simple. Prices are ultra-competitive and falling in many countries, although not in the US. More countries are implementing “subsidy-free” auction systems, and large-scale solar PV is winning many bids. Cost drops have yet to keep pace with recent price drops, but expecting some costs to catch up.

Analysts have simulated 625 auction-tariff scenarios and found a median price of 2 cents per kilowatt-hour by 2022. “Bid prices will continue their downward march pretty much everywhere. More sub-2-cent PV bids are likely in leading low-cost and emerging markets launching solicitations. By 2022, awarded prices as low as $14/MWh will be old news.”

Best Wishes, and we would enjoy helping you achieve your module, battery, inverter, or AI goals.

If you have a few minutes, please give us a recommendation. This will take only 30 seconds. https://bit.ly/USD-DRP.

Get ready for a US brand where Unicorn and our partners invest in a “1.5GW to 2GW US module factory.” If you want to own a line in our factory, please let us know, and we can discuss your interest.

Robert is returning from Cambodia and Vietnam on the 12th of November. We are meeting “module” and “battery” suppliers, and we can bring you better pricing for Q4 2022 and all months going forward. The most significant issue affecting the industry now is availability. We have this issue resolved by meeting the factories in person.

So let us know if you want to get on a call and discuss – 916-284-8841 or 916-578-3120. Or email us at Karlita and Robert.
