Solar Energy

Climate is playing in our future; what can we do to respond successfully?

Solar is on a remarkable growth path. If we work to meet the climate challenge alone, we will need to grow by five times each year until 2030. When looking at the challenge, we should recognize that the creation of energy is only 27% of the 51 billion tons of carbon we release into the atmosphere each year. Bill Gates has looked for answers to the massive climate puzzle.

“As we look ahead into the next century, leaders will be those who empower others.”
Bill Gates

Our future should include the electrification of the transportation industry.  For solar to meet this challenge, the industry will have to continue to evolve. One central area is storage. As solar penetrations grow on the nation’s grids, it won’t be good enough to build solar anymore. Solar will need pairing with storage, wind, hydro, and probably nuclear plants to cover the 24-hour requirement.
Do numerous customers want to know about module procurement through 2022? Their questions to me start with I heard tier 1 manufacturers are selling out of capacity. Who has availability and reasonable pricing? Yes, the problem is the limited availability of materials, including wafers and cells, due to silicon shortage. I can still get all the major brands, but order sooner than later is the best policy.  As supply becomes scarce, then prices will rise, and availability will become an issue.

Solar can assist in growing the U.S. economy under the energy line item of growing industries. The solar industry promotes good to excellent wages. We get to relive the energy Wild West; except this time the energy reduces carbon instead of producing tons daily. It’s fantastic to see how energized the participants are in finding, building, and completing projects. We, the people, is the perfect way of thinking about solar. Adapting the United States constitution as the image of thousands and in the future millions of people working to develop, finance, build, engineer a carbon-free way of energy life.

Unicorn has an 80MW special, which includes SunTech 445W mono perk modules. Plus, we have 80 MW of “Turnkey Station” inverters/transformers (Sungrow SG3425UD-MV/SG3600UD-MV) and 80 MW of Array Technologies Duratrack single-axis trackers (https://arraytechinc.com/duratrack/).
