Unicorn Solar is a leading broker in the industry. As brokers, we perform the activities through many means depending on the customer. It can be as simple as you require a specific module. One of our suppliers has it, and we will sell it to you. Our primary focus is to provide optimal service in procuring suitable modules for our customers.
In most of our contracts, we act as the manufacturer and buyer intermediaries. By volume, the most significant part of our sales is pre-ordered modules. There are many different modules we can access via the manufacturer. First, we negotiate the purchase and make mirror contracts. Then, we bring the module either FOB or DDP depending on our customer. Occasionally, we can also represent our customers as agents for a small fee per watt.
Once a customer purchases the modules, the real work begins. In some cases, we visit the factory before and during production. But, of course, what we do depends on the agreement.
Our focus is to make logistics as seamless as possible. To be effective, you require people skilled at receiving products and setting up the shipping requirements. Most important is executing the plan with the understanding that alterations will happen. Sometimes arranged with slight variations, but we always keep the contact person knowing what is happening. Although much work is in the “background,” we keep it “there” unless necessary.
Our knowledge of contracting also saves our customers time and human resources. We see these contracts daily and know where to look along with being thorough.
In financial terms, there are many methods we have used to ensure everyone is comfortable with the transaction. But, as they say, there are many ways to get something done. In addition, we work with different financing, depending on the nature of each deal.
What differentiates us from the rest is our competitive pricing. We buy and sell in large volumes.

I do have two other options with FutureSolar and Alpex. Both companies we planned to co-brand together before COVID. But unfortunately, when COVID happened, we put the plan on hold. Yet, I sold modules for him, and we are working on getting him Tier 1 status with Bloomberg. So now we are working on doing the co-brand again.
Finding a reliable manufacturer fulfills some of the product requirements when an owner can work with a Tier 2 manufacturer. Suppose this manufacturer is close to Tier-1 status. Alpex has been manufacturing for the Indian Bloomberg Tier 1 manufacturers and is Tier 1 in India and has bankability proof.
